Double Chocolate Brownies

Brian Beaugureau December 14, 2022

Our double chocolate brownie recipe is made with cocoa, chocolate chips and topped with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge – the ultimate treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, room temperature

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 1/3 cups flour

  • 1 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 8oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

For serving

  • Vanilla ice cream

  • Hot fudge

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray a 9x13 baking pan.

  2. In a large mixing bowl or stand mixer beat together the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla.

  3. Once the mixtures have combined, add the eggs one at a time, beating in between each addition.

  4. In a small mixing bowl sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

  5. Slowly mix in the dry ingredients to the butter mixture.

  6. Add chocolate chips, then with a wooden spoon or spatula mix it into the brownie batter.

  7. Spread the batter into the 9x13 prepared pan.

  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until brownies begin to pull away from the side of the pan.

  9. Serve with a scoop of your favorite ice cream and hot fudge.
